How to Leave a Family, revisited

Since the release of the Family module this past summer, how to leave a Family has been an often-asked question. Some players end up in a Family by accidentally accepting a request from their ZMC; Zynga really should not have put Family requests there. Or maybe you've had it up to here with your Family and just want out.

Here are updated instructions:

• Click on the My Family tab.
  
• On the following screen, there are 4 tabs, and you'll land by default on the Families tab. 

• A little lower on the Families screen, there are 4 additional tabs: Activity, Roster, Perks, and Battle. Click on ROSTER. 
• Scroll through the list of Family members until you find yourself listed.
  
• Click the tiny red X to the left of your name, and simply confirm that you wish to leave the Family.
  
• If you're an admin in the Family, you'll need to click the red down-arrow next to your name until the red X appears, but it's the same process.
