Vote for Ms. PAC Party, and Why

Over the past couple of days, a few people have asked me why this site is pushing for players to vote for Ms. PAC Party. Namely, they just want to know why, and secondly, they want to know how this would benefit themselves. Fair enough.

"How does it benefit me?" is the biggest question being asked. The idea behind the movement was, if we all vote for a specific character, then there are way more players than Zynga anticipated having the same loot item at the highest stats available for the event--a minor one-up for the players, for once. It was understood that Collectors may like to get one of each item, just to have them--I myself got a Party Nate for sentimental reasons. That figure was based on a former Community Manager for Mafia Wars. Nate was one of the few Zynga employees I've encountered who really cared to hear from the players, and it was a sore loss to the community when he moved to greener pastures.

Why, is because, Peta of the long-standing Mafia Wars Family, AMEX, approached several groups and sites about promoting a specific character. I thought it was a good idea when she explained her reason, and she was gracious enough to make a post here about the movement.

I see people voting for seemingly random characters, especially Shadow King. He's first on the list and thus easiest to vote for. But since the word has gotten out, Ms. PAC Party is far in the lead, last I checked. In fact, here's the latest numbers, according to Team Spockholm:

Ms. PAC Party clearly has the strong lead. Why wouldn't you want to have more of the loot item with the highest stats? So vote accordingly! I got my Nate, but all my subsequent votes have gone to Ms. PAC Party. She is solidly in the lead, so there's no reason not to vote for her, in order to get more of the higher loot items in your inventory.

Ms. PAC is based on a real Mafia Wars player, if you haven't heard and didn't guess. Her name is Jana, and she's aight. The 'PAC' comes from the fact that she's a part of PAC, the Mafia Wars Player Advisory Committee.

Zynga does (occasionally) notice and give tribute to its players, why waste it? And Ms. PAC already has the most sizable lead--so don't waste the opportunity for yourself to get more of the latest and best loot.
